Discover Bestari Jaya (Batang Berjuntai) Town

"Batang Berjuntai" is a unique term in Bahasa Melayu, symbolizing the hanging branches and wood. Once hosting a railway track connecting Batang Berjuntai to Batu Arang and further onto the main route of the Malayan Railways in Kuang. Unfortunately, the route between the town and Batu Arang was destroyed by Japanese soldiers during World War II and was never reconstructed.

Bestari Jaya - The Town

Formerly known as Batang Berjuntai, the town remains true to its roots. Serving as the primary urban area for the surrounding oil palm plantations, former tin mining zones, and emerging housing estates. It falls under the electoral district of Ijok. Bestari Jaya, located in the Kuala Selangor District, Selangor, Malaysia, is approximately 40 km northwest of Kuala Lumpur. UNISEL, or Universiti Selangor, is a prominent presence in this district.
