Azolla is a freehold residential precinct positioned within Setia EcoHill 2 in the Hulu Langat district of Selangor, developed by Setia EcoHill 2 Sdn Bhd — part of the SP Setia Berhad group. The "Azolla" naming references the Azolla genus — mosquito ferns, aquatic floating ferns native to tropical wetlands and used for centuries in Asian rice paddies as nitrogen-fixing fertiliser — extending Setia EcoHill 2's aquatic-fern botanical-themed precinct family.
Setia EcoHill 2 is one of SP Setia's flagship eco-themed sequel townships — a 1,010-acre freehold gated and guarded community in Semenyih, Hulu Langat district of Selangor, located approximately 3km from the original Setia EcoHill (753 acres) and launched in 2016. Together with Setia EcoHill, the combined Setia EcoHill 1+2 estate covers approximately 1,682 acres of freehold land with a combined RM10.2 billion gross development value. Setia EcoHill 2 alone has a gross development value of approximately RM5 billion, with 8,024-10,000 homes planned across 18 phases to be completed by 2031.
Setia EcoHill 2 is connected to the Kajang-Seremban Highway (LEKAS) via a dedicated 3km link, with onward access to the SILK Highway, North-South Expressway, South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE), and the upcoming East Klang Valley Expressway (EKVE). MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line at Kajang station provides direct rail access to central Kuala Lumpur.
Residents enjoy Setia EcoHill 2's on-site Setia Commerce Square (with Nadi 1, 2, 3 commercial precincts), South Creek Park (with tropical fish pond, bird-watching stations, wildlife sanctuary, EdgeProp-ILAM Sustainable Landscape Award 2020 recipient), 18-acre Adventure Hill Park (hiking, mountain biking, camping grounds), 8 thematic gardens and parks, alongside reach to the original Setia EcoHill's EcoHill Walk neighbourhood mall, Tenby International School, Club 360 community clubhouse, AEON Cheras Selatan, and the Kajang town belt. Educational institutions within reach include Nottingham University Malaysia Campus, German-Malaysian Institute, Kolej Tuanku Jaafar, and Universiti Putra Malaysia.
